Thursday's race meeting at Thurles has been cancelled following the adverse weather in recent days.

A statement from the Turf Club said 'The fixture for Thurles January 31st has been cancelled due to the present ground conditions at the venue and an adverse weather forecast in the coming days'.


The Boylesports.com Tied Cottage will be the feature race on Sunday at Punchestown and the entries are headed by Sizing Europe. Henry De Bromhead's stable star has won his three starts this season and looks to be geared towards this weekends race ahead of his return to the Cheltenham festival in March.

There are six other entries for the Grade two event with Foildubh, Kylebeg Krystle, Imperial Shabra as well as the Willie Mullins trained trio Twinlight Call The Policw and Blazing Tempo who complete the line up.

Midlands radio 3 will be broadcasting commentary of the Tied Cottage as well as the Grade 2 Moscow Flyer Novice Hurdle which sees Don Cossack, Bright New Dawn,Shrapnel, Twigline among the twelve entries at today's five day declaration stage.
