Bobs Worth ran out a brilliant winner of the Hennessy Gold Cup Chase at Newbury.

Barry Geraghty hugged the inside rail throughout aboard the RSA Chase
winner and finished well to hold off the challenge of First Lieutenant and Tidal Bay

Nicky Henderson says Bobs Worth will now be eased into the Gold Cup at Cheltenham next year


The brilliant Big Buck's won a fourth successive Sportingbet Long
Distance Hurdle.

Paul Nicholls' star staying hurdler drew one step closer to equalling
the British record of 21 consecutive victories (set by Meteor in the
eighteenth century) with his win in the Grade Two contest.

Sent off at the prohibitive price of 1/12 the son of Cadoudal made it
18 in a row without coming off the bridle as he outclassed his opponents.


In Ireland the two feature races at Fairyhouse were won by the Sean
Byrne trained Lead Kindly and Tom Mullins' King of Queens

There was also a treble on the card for Westmeath's Gigginstown House
Stud and jockey Davy Russell

The winning horses were Bog Warrior, Midnight Game and Bright New Dawn
