The highest quality Punchestown Festival ever looks assured after mouthwatering entries for the feature races were announced this morning.
The world's best steeplechaser, Sprinter Sacre, remains on course for the Boylesports Champion Chase on Day one where he could meet Flemenstar and Cue Card, both of whom he beat at Aintree last week, and Sizing Europe, who was no match for the British trained Champion at Cheltenham.
Gold Cup runner up Sir des Champs is set for the Punchestown Gold on the second day where his possible rivals could include the British pair Long Run and Riverside Theatre.
The brilliant Willie Mullins trained Quevega could clash with World Hurdle hero Solwit and Hurricane Fly is amongst the entries for the Rabobank Champion Hurdle on the fourth day.
Several others from amongst the 14 Irish winners at Cheltenham, including Ted Veale and Our Conor also feature amongst the entries for the five day spectacular in County Kildare, which starts a fortnight tomorrow.
