Dundalk has been good to been good to Offaly jockey Pat Smullen this week and, after his double there on Thursday evening, he was back in the winner’s enclosure last night thanks to Al Mancilia in the Christmas Party Nights at Dundalk Handicap.

That victory gave the Rhode man his 74th success of the season and stretched his lead to two over Joseph O’Brien in the race for the jockey's championship.

Trained by Pat Flynn, Al Mancilia stayed on strongly under Smullen and edged out Elusive Express by half-a-length.

She was returned at odds of 7-1.
