8 Midlands athletes are among the 29 recipients of Leinster GAA Bursaries

Wesmeath Ladies footballers and NUI Maynooth players Ciara Blundell and Karen Hegarty are recipents along with DCU's Alan Coyne and Froebel College's Eddie Fitzgerald

Offaly native AIT hurlers Mark Quinlan and Conor Gath and Laois' Joshe Warde of DCU and Trinity student Colm Glesson also receive bursaries

Aidan Franks is the new Offaly senior camogie manager

Ballyskenagh clubman Franks managed The Harps to three All-Ireland Club Junior titles in the last decade
He also has experience of managing camogie teams within the Faithful County, he's previously been in charge of Shinrone

Offaly reached the All-Ireland Semi Finals last year and Franks will confirm his backroom team in the coming weeks

Meanwhile Sean O'Meara has been named the new Offaly Junior manager, he also will continue to mentor the minor team

Kilcormac Killoughey captain Ciaran Slevin is the Offaly Senior hurler of the year while Laois native Mark Dunne has been named Offaly Senior footballer of the year

The Hall of Fame awards are set to go to All-Ireland winning captains, Pat Fleury led the Offaly hurlers to glory in 1985 while Tony McTague skippered the footballers in 1972

Kilcormac Killoughey's Dan Currams wins the Junior footballer of the year while the Minor hurling prize goes to his clubmate Cillian Kiely

David Egan from St Brigids is Intermediate Footballer of the Year, the hurling award goes to Offaly goalkeeper Lusmagh's Eoin Kelly

Shinrone's Conor Doughan will receive the Junior hurling award with Under 21 going to Stephen Quirke of Rynaghs, Rhode and Offaly forward Anton Sullivan is the top Under 21 footballer

Hogan Cup winning captain Conor McNamee is Minor Footballer of the year, All-Star Sheila Sullivan is Camogie's top player for 2012 and dual star Siobhan Flannery recieves the Ladies Football Award

Brian Gavin has been named the best hurling referee while Noel Cooney wins in football.
